Role Description

  • Core member of our account teams, responsible for helping build and execute strategic programs and initiatives in support of Teneo’s clients
  • This may include, but not be limited to, business and issue analysis, policy risk advisory, communications strategy related to corporate developments and crises, financial calendar management, and M&A and other transaction activity
  • Associates are highly motivated and dedicated individuals, ideally with some experience in fields such as corporate strategy, communications, investor relations, government affairs, policy, capital markets, management consulting or ESG.
  • They will work closely with account managers to deliver best-in-class service and function as a cohesive unit



  • Supports the development of strategic advice and counsel for clients, including as it relates to communications strategies and campaigns
  • Manages daily account work of producing and refining deliverables – including media monitoring, press releases, talking points, Q&A, briefing memos, distributed media materials, and others – and preparing Account Managers and Leaders for client engagements
  • Supports on research and analysis for clients around key issues including market developments, business resiliency and broad sectoral trends
  • Provides in-depth knowledge of clients’ business and industries and ensures teams are fully briefed
  • Contributes to new business lead development and pitches via monitoring and research, and plays an active role in growing clients organically
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of other areas of expertise within Teneo and actively shares knowledge with clients
  • Keeps well informed and uses a broad range of sources to build opinion and ideas
  • Takes personal responsibility for investing in own development, seeking opportunities to learn new things and broadening skills

Candidate Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in preparing content and documentation for account managers
  • Experience with / strong interest in analysis of business issues, including as it relates to ESG, policy developments, capital markets and cybersecurity
  • Strong interest in business, public affairs and geopolitical events
  • Ability to think creatively, approach communications from new angles, and handle both day-to-day account work and one-off client asks
  • Must display a strong work ethic, high standards and commitment to the role
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • International experience (study and/or work) a plus
  • 3+ years’ related experience in corporate strategy, communications, investor relations, government affairs, policy, capital markets, management consulting or ESG
