Our Firm

Teneo Cares

Within our local communities, and at a global scale, Teneo is deeply committed to helping create a better world for all.

As an organization, we are dedicated to creating a culture and work environment that supports inclusivity, empowerment, intellectual curiosity and integration. Through a mix of strategic partnerships, volunteer work and philanthropic giving, we also work to support these same ideals outside our offices.

The following examples represent just some of the community engagement, fundraising and philanthropic giving initiatives we are involved in on a global, regional and local level.

Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative (BJKLI)

Teneo partners with Billie Jean King across her business and philanthropic endeavors. The BJKLI encourages corporations and individuals to embrace diverse personalities and lifestyles for the positive and unique contributions they bring to the workforce.

Board Diversity Action Alliance (BDAA)

Led by Ursula Burns, Gabrielle Sulzberger, The Ford Foundation, Teneo and The Executive Leadership Council, the BDAA is taking action to increase the number of racially and ethnically diverse directors on corporate boards.

Community Engagement

A Better Chance (ABC)

Teneo provides pro bono support for the organization’s communication strategy and event planning, including ABC’s benefit dinner. This event brings together members of the ABC Community to celebrate efforts toward making education more equitable and inclusive.

Future Frontiers

In the UK, Teneo colleagues act as mentors to transform pupils’ engagement with learning and inspire them to achieve at school and beyond.

Opération Thermos

Teneo Brussels partners with Opération Thermos, an organization that serves warm meals to people in need. In addition to cooking and serving meals, the team provides pro bono support for the organization’s communication strategy.

Read Ahead

Teneo and Read Ahead have partnered since 2015. Read Ahead matches volunteer mentors with students to help them build connections, confidence and a love of reading. These mentors also help students further develop their literacy skills through weekly one-on-one virtual sessions during the school year.

School for Social Entrepreneurs

Teneo partners with the School for Social Entrepreneurs to provide pro bono consulting to social enterprises on a specific aspect of their growth strategy. This includes coaching and employment for minority groups, disability awareness and support, employment and training for refugees and offender rehabilitation.

Teneo Gives Day

In partnership with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, Teneo colleagues work on revitalization projects across several New York City parks.

Time to Read

Teneo Ireland partners with Business in the Community’s Time to Read program. Colleagues spend time over the course of two school terms sharing their love of books and helping children become more confident and fluent readers.

Fundraising and Philanthropic Giving

Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation / STEPtember

Teneo employees participate annually in the STEPtember fundraising challenge, benefiting research for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation.

Cycle for Survival

Since 2013, Teneo colleagues in the U.S. have participated in Cycle for Survival, a high-energy indoor team cycling event that raises funds for research at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

Teneo UK has embarked on a new partnership with Samaritans, a charity dedicated to reducing feelings of isolation and disconnection that can lead to suicide. The first fundraising expedition involved Teneo colleagues participating in the 25-kilometer walk/run South Coast Challenge.

U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots Program

Teneo partners with U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to provide support to economically disadvantaged children throughout the year, including donating toys as part of the Toys for Tots Program.
