Kathleen Deveny

Senior Managing Director

Kathy advises U.S. and international companies on complex strategic corporate and financial communications matters, helping clients achieve their business objectives and protect their reputations.

She has significant experience in crisis preparation and has supported clients during such special situations as cybersecurity issues, litigation, regulatory challenges, product recalls, and plant closings. Kathy also advises clients on investor relations and ongoing corporate positioning, shareholder activism and M&A. She regularly helps CEOs and other senior leaders prepare for high-profile media and investor engagements.

Prior to joining Teneo, she was a partner at Kekst CNC, a global strategic communications firm, where she advised clients across a wide range of industries and led the firm’s executive training practice.

Before Kekst CNC, Kathy had a 20-year career as a journalist. She was Deputy Editor of Newsweek, where she oversaw global business, economics and technology coverage. Kathy was previously editor of The Wall Street Journal’s Marketplace section and a staff editor and writer for Businessweek.

Kathy graduated from the University of Minnesota’s School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
