Charlie Allen is a Senior Consultant with Teneo’s Strategy and Communications business, based in London.

A policy and political specialist, Charlie joined Teneo from the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), where he worked with government departments and industry stakeholders to develop and implement tech policy. He advises across sectors including technology, utilities, and life sciences with an increasing focus on clients operating in the context of emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, biotechnology and blockchain. He has worked for clients including Google DeepMind, Microsoft, Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Thames Water and National Grid ESO.

He is also a member of the advisory council of Labour Digital, an organisation established to better inform policymaking on digital and tech issues within the Labour Party. He has an undergraduate degree from UCL and a postgraduate degree from Edinburgh University, both in English Literature.
