Joachim von Schorlemer

Senior Advisor

Joachim von Schorlemer is a Senior Advisor with Teneo, based in Frankfurt. Joachim has held top positions in international banks for almost four decades as a country head and board member, and will help Teneo expand its presence in Germany.

Prior to Teneo, Joachim was a member of the Management Board of ING in Germany. In this role, he was responsible for, among other things,  ING Wholesale Banking in Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. During his time at ING, he also assumed the function of Deputy Chairman of the Management Board before moving to an advisory role at ING in the fall of 2022.

Before his time at ING, Joachim was Country Executive at the Royal Bank of Scotland, managing the corporate banking business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Prior to RBS, he was Country Head Germany at BNP Paribas, where he managed all ten business units of the company in Germany.

Earlier in his career, Joachim was Co-Head of Head of Investment Banking Germany at Credit Suisse and European Head of Automotive and Senior Member of the European Investment Banking Team at Deutsche Bank. He started his professional career at J.P. Morgan, where he assumed various management roles over a period of nine years.

Joachim studied business administration in Hamburg from 1979 to 1982 and received his doctorate in 2012 and 2013.
