Jeanne Hess is a strategic communications and investor relations executive with more than fifteen years of experience directing internal and external communications programs that aim to maintain and protect credibility while mitigating risk.

Prior to joining Teneo, Jeanne was Head of Investor Relations at MassMutual, a leading life insurance company with more than $300 billion in assets under management. In this role, Jeanne built and executed financial communications programs tailored to external audiences, including rating agencies, regulators and centers of influence.

Prior to joining MassMutual in 2018, Jeanne established and led the investor relations program at Virtus Investment Partners (NASDAQ: VRTS) where she partnered with the executive team to create messages that resonated across external audiences and further communicated company strategy. In addition, she implemented a comprehensive outreach program that raised awareness of the investment thesis and attracted long-only shareholders.

Before assuming the role at Virtus in 2014, Jeanne led the investor relations, executive communications and public relations program at Boston Private (NASDAQ: SIVB), a leading trust, wealth management and private banking company.

Jeanne holds a B.A. from Northeastern University in Journalism and a M.B.A. from Simmons University. She is an active participant in the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and a past president of the NIRI Boston chapter.
