Gulum has global responsibility for Human Resources including people strategy, recruiting and career development, Information Technology and operational effectiveness.
Gulum joined Teneo from the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where she spent over 20 years in various leadership roles. Most recently, she was the Senior Management Director of one of BCG’s largest practices, the Industrial Goods (IG) Practice Area, and a member of the Global IG Leadership Team. In this role, she was responsible for all aspects of strategic planning and management reporting, IP development and marketing, talent planning and affiliation, and sector research and operations teams of the Practice Area. During her tenure, the Industrials Group doubled in size in revenues and core team headcount. She initiated key programs such as CEO digital immersion days, global Women’s Initiative and revamp of IP investments. She also served as the Chair of Global Career Development Committee for research and practice area management teams of all industrial practices.
Prior to that role, Gulum was the Head of Consulting Services and Chief of Staff for the New York office in charge of the full human capital value chain including recruiting, training, staffing, and career development teams.
She spent the early half of her career at BCG as a Principal working with C-suite executives in the pharmaceutical and consumer industries on large-scale transformations, post-merger integration and change management projects. In addition, she has worked in corporate finance and debt capital markets divisions of Morgan Stanley as an investment banking analyst.
Gulum has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
She is a Board Member and Treasurer for the HBS Women’s Association of Greater New York. She graduated, summa cum laude, from Macalester College with majors in Economics and International Studies.
