Emily Blyth

Managing Director

Emily has close to 20 years’ experience managing communications for some of the most high-profile, complex and scrutinized companies across a range of sectors in both in-house and agency roles.

Prior to her role with Teneo, Emily managed her own financial and corporate communications consultancy.

Previously, Emily was responsible for financial communications and issues management at Anglo American plc in London, at a particularly challenging time for the company and the mining industry. In this role, she advised senior leadership and the executive committee on stakeholder communications for numerous transactions and issues in southern Africa, Europe, and North and South America. Emily also worked extensively with the health and sustainability teams to create a more open stakeholder dialogue on the challenges in primary health care in developing countries.

Previously, Emily served as Director in the communications team at Goldman Sachs in Sydney during the global financial crisis and the restructuring and rebranding of the local business. During her time at Goldman Sachs, she worked closely with the Environment and Social Governance team, was a member of the Goldman Sachs ESG Committee, and represented the firm for the Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC).Emily began her career in financial communications with an international financial communications agency in London, representing global energy and financial services clients. She spent a large amount of her time based in Italy as the firm built its presence in-country.Before specializing in financial communications, Emily worked in corporate communications at PwC and supported the local campaign to rebuild trust in the accounting profession following the high-profile industry fallout in the early 2000s.

Emily has completed management courses in sustainability and leadership with the University of Cambridge/University of Queensland and I.E.S.E Business School in Spain; a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance through Kaplan; and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Communications from the University of Technology Sydney. She speaks fluent Italian and conversational Spanish.
