Position Overview
The Senior Compensation and Benefits Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, communication, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures. This role ensures that these programs support the organization's business objectives and meet all legal requirements. This position reports to the Global Head of People Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement compensation and benefits strategies that support the delivery of Teneo’s business strategy.
- Oversee compensation processes, including the annual pay review, market benchmarking, job evaluation, pay ranges, incentive plan design, and analysis.
- Partner with Finance on compensation approval processes and new program design, ensuring cost/budget feasibility.
- Ensure compensation and budget programs are in line with organizational budgets.
- Collaborate with the broader People Operations team on the delivery of compensation and benefits, including processes, systems, and the development of guidance materials for managers and employees.
- Ensure linkage between performance management practices and compensation.
- Select and manage compensation and benefits vendors and providers; ensure programs and products are aligned with overall compensation and benefits strategies.
- Oversee global benefits, including the relationship with the global benefits broker.
- Provide guidance to HR People Partners and Senior Leaders on compensation packages and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation and benefits programs, including pay equity reporting disclosures.
Required Competencies and Skills
- 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Expertise in Compensation Program Design (including deferred compensation).
- Strong background in Benefits Strategy and Program Design.
- Experience in Vendor Management.
- Proficiency with HRIS Systems (Workday preferred).
- Knowledge of HR Regulatory Environment & Compliance.
- Excellent Stakeholder Management skills.
- Must be based in the New York City area and work from the midtown office at least three days per week.

Compensation
- Base Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000 (compensation for this role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience that may fall outside of the range listed).
- Bonus Eligible: Yes
- Total Compensation Package: Includes annualized bonus, 401K match, healthcare coverage, and a broad range of additional benefits and perks.
Flexible Work Policy
Teneo believes in in-person collaboration when possible and if you are assigned to the New York office, the company expectation is for employees to work from the office location a minimum of three times a week.
