The People Team at Teneo

We are looking for a dedicated and adaptable HR Information Systems (HRIS) Manager with a growth mindset and a dedication to product leadership, developing strategies and driving the direction of People technology products and services.

As HRIS Manager, you will champion the product initiatives and operations. You will be a critical interface between People Team and Teneo Business to maximise the value of products by backing the customer’s voice.

This position will be responsible for designing agile products, and supporting and communicating the product backlog to ensure the successful delivery of products to customers, aligned with customer expectations and business strategy. You will be a subject matter expert on the administration, functionality, maintenance and operational effectiveness of our core HRIS Systems (Workday and Greenhouse).

The purpose of this role is to leverage HR technology in driving the transformation of our Global People Function. You will be required to be flexible in your approach, you will need to design and develop the relevant support model, data and process governance, security and control frameworks, as well as being hands-on to help support day to day technical queries with both Workday and Greenhouse.

You’ll turn well-ideated and validated solutions and customer needs into actionable user stories and follow the eventual product feature into release and long-term support. You will understand and contribute to developing Product Vision and Strategy, prioritisation, and roadmap planning.

This can be based in the US or UK (can be fully remote in the UK, however, there will be occasions when you may be expected to attend the office as and when required).

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with stakeholders to understand their challenges and needs from Workday & Greenhouse, review the current functionality design, and identify any problems and solutions with the current configuration
  • Design and establish the future support model, governance and control frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and business needs, for example, data privacy and digital security requirements
  • Develop and take ownership of the HR Technology roadmap, ensuring that the right product is utilised to help support, drive and meet the needs of a face past growing international business
  • Take responsibility to ensure that all change initiative projects are delivered and deployed with the highest success and with the end user in mind
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure solutions/products co-exist seamlessly across Teneo
  • Handle a prioritised backlog of changes, covering maintenance, fixes (non-urgent) and improvements, with a focus on the implementation of ongoing activities
  • Plan and complete substantial aspects of change projects, including acting as product owner, delivering through others, delivering to time, cost and quality, handling risks
  • Triage, diagnose, and assign/resolve day-to-day issues/queries originating from business stakeholders and end-users raised through our case management system - ensuring that they are addressed in a timely manner
  • Take ownership of issues to diagnose and resolve them, either individually or with the support of the wider Workday and Greenhouse support teams
  • Provide subject matter expertise on the administration, functionality, maintenance and operational effectiveness of Workday and Greenhouse
  • Review existing configurations and suggest improvements, advise on best practices and ways to increase efficiency
  • Regularly report on any defects and identify root causes in order to provide resolutions
  • Provide project support, ensuring that deliverables are fully met through solid system/solution design. Evaluate impacts on other applications and related Workday services
  • Support twice-annual Workday releases, including identifying and communicating related impacts and enhancement opportunities
  • Be comfortable collaborating with system vendors in order to maintain alignment between suppliers and the Teneo business
  • Support the training and engagement of Workday to ensure key stakeholders are maximising the use of the system
  • Working with the Global Operations Team to regularly review the tenant, recommend, optimise and rebuild business processes
  • Identify and communicate system functionality changes to the business super users within the People Operation teams
  • Maintaining a repository of knowledge/documentation around Workday configurations/changes, including team training documents
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across all relevant business areas to fully support the Workday solution

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven Workday experience in core Workday modules, HCM, Compensation, Absence, Reporting, and Security
  • Significant experience in HR systems (Greenhouse & Peakon), business analysis, process development/documentation and supporting HR business
  • Strong experience in relevant configuration and/or process support, with knowledge of HR guidelines and methodologies
  • Aware of Data Privacy relating to HR data capture and maintenance
  • Microsoft Office skills, extensive understanding/experience using Excel
  • Adept at working on/leading multiple concurrent projects with nominal supervision
  • Experience in change management (communications, training, stakeholder management)
  • Digital fluency in order to work with technology teams to implement high-quality digital products and solutions
  • Customer management – ability to engage with and influence key business members
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to interact with functional and technical colleagues, and end users, with a passion for customer service
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
