Job Description:
A Vice President within Teneo Strategy focused on Media maintains and builds business and media relationships with clients. Vice President dedicated individuals with experience leading accounts throughout communications, investor relations, government affairs and public relations. A Vice President is recognized as an expert in their field and brings a wealth of client experience, a track record for successful execution and a network of professional relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Be a trusted account manager in all areas of corporate communications, specifically media
- Develop and advise on complex corporate communications programs for Teneo clients
- Identify and keep up with trends as across the media landscape, including within paid vs owned vs. earned; old vs. new media
- Engage with media including pitching news and meeting with reporters to uncover opportunities for clients across the firm
- Leverage network of media relationships (as well as other stakeholder relationships) to serve clients and bring opportunities to the firm
- Excellent writing abilities to develop and review corporate communications materials, including press releases, Q&A, executive talking points, business communications (plans and memos) and original content (op-ed and bylines)
- Foster an environment in which client satisfaction is a top priority; work with Teneo senior management to help identify client needs and works with other Teneo operating divisions to address in an integrated team effort
- Help develop junior talent
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in agency or an in-house corporate communications or media role
- Track record of building successful national and trade media relationships, we all as securing coverage
- Demonstrated understanding of how to create and amplify corporate narratives and messages
- A creative and strategic thinker in the area of reputation management; sees around corners, approaches communications from new angles
- Strong project management and account management capabilities – with a demonstrated ability to manage up and down

Base Salary Range: $130,000 – 190,000 (compensation for this role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience that may fall outside of the range listed).
