Tim Falconer

Managing Director

Tim is a Managing Director at Teneo.

Prior to this, Tim was Partner & Managing Director of Bell Pottinger Middle East, where he led the firm’s regional financial & corporate practice, working with both listed companies and government-related organisations. He has earned a reputation for providing quality advice to senior decision makers based on a solid understanding of their communication challenges and the markets where they operate.

Tim moved into communications after a 16-year career in journalism with The Wall Street Journal (WSJ). He spent 6 years as the WSJ Deputy Bureau Chief in Dubai covering the fallout from the global financial crisis and the Arab uprising. Before moving to the Middle East in 2009, Tim was based in London for 10 years leading various WSJ teams of reporters covering equity and oil markets. While based there he also spent time reporting on OPEC and commodities related news.

Tim started his career with Dow Jones Newswires in Wellington, New Zealand.

He holds an Arts degree from the University of Waikato as well as Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism.
