Peggy Wu has significant experience working across industries including investment banking, asset management, private equity, real estate, universities and non-profit organisations, among others. Previously, Peggy was the Head of Singapore and Digital Lead of Ryan Communication, which was acquired by Teneo in May 2017.
Peggy’s experience includes providing strategic counsel for global asset managers in Asia, developing a multi-media crisis simulation to train CMOs and CROs for global investment banks and advising a private individual involved in a high-profile multi-year legal dispute. She has worked in Beijing, Singapore and Hong Kong. She counsels US, UK and Asia-Pacific executives, directors and in-house communications teams on branding and positioning, special situations, reputation repair and management and integrated content marketing.
Peggy has developed and executed localised and sustainable digital and social media campaigns for clients. She also has experience in developing crisis simulation and training activities for global financial firms. Peggy has been a keynote speaker for universities, clients and associations in Asia on various topics, including thought leadership, building strategic digital and social media campaigns and the state of the media landscape in Asia. She has written for a number of publications including PRWeek and The Holmes Report. She has been quoted in publications including Ignites Asia and Marketing Interactive.
Peggy holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from American University in Washington D.C. She also holds the CFA Institute’s Investment Foundations certificate and the Social Media Marketing Certificate from Hootsuite. Previously, she was a consultant for social media platform Sina Weibo. A native New Yorker, Peggy speaks Mandarin and Cantonese.
