Miguel Mosquera

Director

Miguel Mosquera is a Director with Teneo’s Financial Advisory business. He has over 15 years of expertise in corporate finance, financial consulting and planning.

Miguel specializes in financial structuring for project financing, business valuation and intangible assets. He also has significant experience developing robust financial models tailored to support decision-making processes for C-level executives and boards of directors.

In addition to his professional background, Miguel has spearheaded the economic feasibility analysis of novel renewable energy generation projects, M&A processes and debt raising/refinancing for projects across  Mexico, Central America, Colombia and Chile.

 

Select Project Experience:

  • Financial Structuring for the Acquisition of Combined Cycle Plants – Contributed to the development of a fairness opinion and financing model for the acquisition of 13 combined cycle plants by the Government of Mexico, totaling 8,539 MW, with a project value of approximately USD 6,000 million.
  • Review of Financial Models for Infrastructure Projects – Undertook comprehensive reviews of financial models for projects like Line 1 of the Bogotá Metro and the Fourth Bridge of Panama, ensuring their alignment with financial closing requirements.
  • Financial Structuring of Renewable Energy Projects – Led the financial structuring of solar energy generation projects in Latin America, encompassing Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Colombia and Chile, with a total CAPEX of over USD 600 million.
  • Valuation and Financial Model Review of the Bogotá Metro – Conducted the valuation of the company responsible for constructing and operating Line 1 of the Bogotá metro and the financial model review for the financial closing of the project finance debt.
  • Valuation of Shareholding – Conducted the valuation of the shareholding of a major shareholder within one of the primary financial groups in Colombia, comprising banks, insurance companies, and trust companies, among others.
