May Knight is Vice Chair, Asia Pacific for Teneo. She works across the company’s five businesses – Strategy & Communications, Financial Advisory, Management Consulting, People Advisory and Risk Advisory – to deliver senior counsel and solutions to our clients’ most complex issues.

May is an industry veteran with three decades of experience advising companies and their leaders across strategy, operations, organisational design, people and leadership agendas and board governance and effectiveness.

May joined Teneo from Korn Ferry, where she served as Senior Partner, Global Financial Services, based in London. Prior to that, she spent more than six years as President of Korn Ferry Advisory Asia Pacific, where she was responsible for 28 offices across 14 markets in the region and delivered a range of CEO succession, organization design and leadership development advisory. May was previously Managing Director and insurance industry leader at Accenture and a Partner at Ernst & Young. In these roles, she advised Financial Services clients on strategy, organisation design, digital transformation and M&A.

Since 2021, May has served as an Independent Non-Executive Director for HSBC Group’s global insurance business, comprising HSBC Insurance (Asia) and HSBC Life International. She is the Chairman of the Board’s Risk Committee and a member of the Audit Committee and With Profit & Investment Committee.

May is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors, has completed post-graduate education at Harvard Business School and holds an MBA from Liverpool John Moores University.

May speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
