Matthew Thomlinson

Director

Matthew Thomlinson is a Director at Teneo based in London. He is an experienced communications professional, having spent almost ten years working in financial and strategic communications.

Matthew has advised both listed and private companies and has experience across a range of sectors including financial services, sport, energy, media, infrastructure, consumer goods and support services.

He advises clients on engagement with a range of stakeholders, including financial calendar events, media relations and investor relations, as well as special situations such as M&A and issues management. He also works with several large and multinational organisations on multi-stakeholder communications plans that span stakeholders including media, political and regulatory audiences.

Alongside his core financial communications expertise, Matthew has spent time working with some of Teneo’s largest clients on crisis preparation, management and response.

Prior to joining Teneo in 2020, Matthew spent five years at Kekst CNC, where he focused on M&A, private equity and crisis communications across the UK and Germany. He is a fluent German speaker and spent time on secondment at the firm’s Frankfurt office. Matthew started his career at Headland.
