Dempsey Best is as a Senior Consultant with Teneo. He works with clients on political, regulatory and climate change issues in the UK.

Before Teneo, Dempsey worked at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy where he worked on developing and running the UK Emissions Trading Scheme as part of the UK’s commitments to net zero by 2050.

Dempsey started his career in the Civil Service Fast Stream graduate programme gaining policy experience in the Department for Transport, HMRC and the Department for International Trade.

Dempsey holds a LLB from the University of Edinburgh. He also attended Sciences Po Paris during his exchange year.
