Cormac Coughlan is a Director with Teneo’s Strategy and Communications business, based in Dublin.
Cormac is senior corporate communications advisor with over a decade of experience helping businesses and leaders protect and enhance their reputations. He works closely with CEOs, senior executives and organisations to shape strategic narratives, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and navigate media and crisis communications. His expertise spans corporate positioning, reputation management and high-stakes communications in competitive and highly regulated industries.
Cormac provides strategic counsel to a diverse portfolio of high-profile clients, including Chadwicks Group, Saint-Gobain, Re-turn, Fuels for Ireland, Concern Worldwide, Dublin Zoo and Repak. He has led consultancy projects across industries such as pharmaceuticals, property development and domestic tourism, ensuring companies effectively communicate their vision, manage risk and engage key stakeholders.
In addition to his expertise in corporate reputation and communications strategy, Cormac has significant experience working with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes and recycling compliance organisations that drive Circular Economy goals. He advises on the strategic and regulatory communications for organisations at the heart of Ireland’s sustainability infrastructure, helping them navigate evolving policies.
Cormac holds a first-class BA (Hons) in Media and Communications from Griffith College, an MA in Public Relations from DIT and an MSc in Management from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. He is a past recipient of the PRCA Young Communication Professional of the Year award.
