Alisa Charkova is a Managing Director with Teneo’s Risk Advisory business, based in London.
Alisa is a risk, issues and crisis specialist, who works with senior leaders to assess and manage reputational risks and manage crises. Alisa leads a specialist crisis management unit at Teneo that helps some of the largest and most complex organisations in the world build their resilience and implement best in class crisis practices for preparedness, risk management and emergency and crisis organisational design.
As part of her current work, Alisa leads the delivery of the risk and crisis management mandate for the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and works closely with all Teneo locations to grow risk and crisis management capability.
In her previous role, Alisa led the external engagement and crisis management function of an energy infrastructure company in Canada. Her work there involved partnering with Shell, Chevron, BHP Billiton and De Beers on remote infrastructure projects in North America and Australia, helping manage the risks of remote operations.
Alisa has also worked with multiple clients in the government, high net worth and extractive industries. Her work was to develop and execute strategies for organisations seeking to increase their global competitiveness, individuals looking to inspire political and economic changes, and organisations in crisis needing to rebuild trust.
Alisa is globally-trained with work experience in 18 countries, including Qatar, China, and The Philippines. She is bilingual in Russian and English and speaks conversational French and Spanish.
