Adeola Oke

Managing Director

Adeola Oke is a Managing Director with Teneo’s Financial Advisory business, based in London.

Prior to joining Teneo, Adeola was a director in the Special Situations Group with Interpath (formerly KPMG restructuring). Prior to joining KPMG, Adeola was with the PWC restructuring team.

Adeola specialises in complex restructuring projects, supporting multiple stakeholders across different jurisdictions, coordinating the clear articulation of information, challenging assumptions, identifying key issues, shaping options and implementing solutions.

Adeola has significant experience across the financial restructuring spectrum including IBRs, cash flow reviews and options analysis for lenders, corporates and government. She also has experience in buy and sell-side financial due diligence and forensic accounting.

Adeola has undertaken change management projects particularly those focused on implementing cost reduction and control strategies as part of full-scale restructuring projects.

In 2019, she completed a four-month secondment as Interim Group Strategy Director of a large retail organisation with a wide range of products and significant branch network, reporting directly to the Interim Group CEO. Her role included assisting the interim CEO with developing a five year strategic and financial plan for the business.

Adeola provided specialist assistance to the audit partners of a big four firm reviewing the financial forecasts of their clients as part of their ongoing concern assessment. The clients varied from SME’s to FTSE100-250 companies.

 

Selected Project Experience:

  • Project Oliveras (2020-2023) – Financial advisor to His Majesty’s Government in relation to funding requests from a large complex retail business with a significant branch network. Undertook a full scope review of the company’s business plan and an assessment of the strategic options available to the business as the government sought to ensure the funding decision reached was robust and cost-effective.
  • Project Rosevear (2020-2023) – Financial advisor to a government department in relation to a large transport company seeking funding support following a COVID driven significant decline in the company’s revenues. Performed an independent review and challenge of company’s business plan and financial projections, including identification of sensitivities and vulnerabilities in the plan. Advised the Government department on the quantum of funding required by the company to balance its budget. Supported with the provision of c.£6bn of funding to the company. Briefed senior members of various Government departments, Government ministers and government appointed special advisers. Performed periodic monitoring of company’s financial performance and cost saving plan.
  • Project Yarwood (2019) – Advisor to a group of Asset Based lenders in relation to a freight and Logistics company. Performed an IBR and short-term cash flow forecast review of the business following a period of sustained liquidity pressure, with an imminent covenant breach. The role included an assessment of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and Brexit on the business.
  • Project Beadle (2023) – Company side role at an AIM listed doorstep lender and provider of home collected credit. Performed an Independent review of the company’s financial forecasts. The review was a precursor to a valuation which was used to support the company’s discussion with the Financial Conduct Authority and formed part of its application for a scheme of arrangement.
