Rebecca Evans

Associate Director

Rebecca is an associate director with Teneo in London, having joined Teneo as part of its purchase of Deloitte’s UK Restructuring business.

Rebecca has over seven years’ experience working with companies in stressed situations. This experience spans both insolvency and advising corporates and their stakeholders to achieve consensual solutions.

Highlights of recent experience:

  • Mercury: Advised the largest single creditor to Thomas Cook plc on protecting their position through the restructuring and eventual collapse of Thomas Cook plc. This involved real time advice to the CEO, CFO and PE sponsors to our global client, to enable them to navigate volatility
  • Stone: Worked with the Cabinet Office, following the appointment of Administrators over Carillion, to understand HMG’s exposure to another plc where continuity of service was critical. Rebecca’s role involved review of public sector contracts, preparation of initial contingency planning strategies for groups of contracts, and meetings with various government departments to brief on Stone’s situation
  • Marble: Worked with Defra following Project Stone, performing a deep dive into Defra’s contingency strategy for two suppliers. This scoped risk to the department and assisted Defra in understanding their options in an insolvency and how they could meet their strategic aims within the constraints of a potential administration
  • Marathon: Assisted a Tier 1 construction contractor in negotiations with its stakeholders. Phase 1 involved securing £50m short term financing to avoid an imminent insolvency, whilst Phase 2 negotiated £235m consensual medium term financing to stabilise the business. Rebecca’s role involved liaising with the numerous stakeholders and project management
