Pierre-Olivier Herbert

Senior Vice President

Pierre-Olivier Herbert is a Senior Vice President with Teneo’s Strategy & Communications business, based in Montréal.

Prior to joining the firm, Pierre-Olivier held senior positions in several ministerial offices in Ottawa, most recently serving as Director of Communications to Canada’s Finance Minister. Pierre-Olivier has worked in politics at the international, federal, provincial and municipal levels – including for Quebec’s Minister of Immigration and as press secretary for Mélanie Joly’s mayoral campaign.

A strategic thinker and communicator, Pierre-Olivier has a proven track record in delivering on sensitive files, solving complex challenges and advising senior politicians in high-risk and high-pressure environments. He has overseen the rollout of major government announcements – including the implementation of the first wave of measures of Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan and the planning of two budgets.

Pierre-Olivier is a graduate of Concordia University and completed a Master’s program at the Université de Montréal.
