Justin Kane is a Managing Director on Teneo’s Investor Relations team, based in New York.

Prior to joining Teneo, Justin was a Partner and Co-Founder at Gilead Capital LP, an investment firm focused on constructive shareholder activism at public companies in North America, Western Europe, and Australia. While at Gilead, Justin ran numerous public and private activist campaigns and proxy fights, researched activist investments, and drove value creation initiatives at Gilead’s portfolio companies.

Justin also served as a non-executive director at Isentia Group Ltd, a media intelligence SaaS company listed in Australia and serving the Asia-Pacific region, as a result of one of the activist campaigns he conducted.

Before Gilead, Justin was an investment analyst at QVT Financial LP, a multi-strategy hedge fund, where he worked on global special situations, long/short equity, and distressed investment strategies. Prior to his investing career, Justin worked in new product development and technology consulting at The Advisory Board Company, a healthcare consulting and software business. He began his career as an investigative journalist.

Justin holds a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy with high honors from Swarthmore College and an MBA with concentrations in finance and accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
