Galaxy M.L. Chan is a Managing Director with Teneo’s Financial Advisory business in Hong Kong.
Galaxy has over 25 years’ experience in restructuring and insolvency in Hong Kong and London, with numerous appointments taken in the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands and Bermuda as well as Hong Kong. Prior to Teneo, Galaxy was with an international restructuring and disputes practice, and before that was a partner in the Restructuring and Insolvency Practice of a Big 4 firm in Hong Kong where she also led their Family Estate Administration Practice.
Galaxy’s extensive insolvency and restructuring experience includes reverse takeovers of Hong Kong listed companies, exit planning and implementation for multinational corporations, receivership and liquidation work. She has extensive experience implementing Schemes of Arrangement and with the Hong Kong Listing Rules and has assisted in engagements that provide expert opinion in shareholder, commercial and family disputes. Galaxy’s portfolio of clients includes financial institutions, investment holding companies, real estate groups, hotels, and trading and manufacturing enterprises.
Galaxy is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. She holds the HKICPA Specialist Designation in Insolvency and was a member of the Executive Committee of the HKICPA Restructuring and Insolvency Faculty. Galaxy holds an MBA from the Imperial College, London and a degree in accountancy from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
