Emil Pevtsov

Senior Vice President

Emil Pevtsov is Senior Vice President with Teneo’s Strategy & Communications business, based in Hong Kong.

Prior to Teneo, Emil was at BCW, a leading global communications agency. He specialised in corporate reputation, crisis communications and public diplomacy. For the past three years in Hong Kong, Emil managed a diverse client portfolio. His sovereign clients included central banks and trade missions with broad country and trade promotion briefs. His private sector clients were mostly MNCs in the financial services and tech sectors. Emil’s crisis experience centres on guiding institutions through the reputational fallout of cyberattacks.

Prior to moving to Hong Kong, Emil was based in London, working at a boutique public affairs consultancy. Emil helped set up parliamentary interest groups (APPGs), liaised with think tanks to inform research and relayed industry concerns to regulators including the FCA. In his public diplomacy work, Emil worked on diverse briefs from organizing international conferences to deep media intelligence and analysis for a number of European sovereign clients.

Emil graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in History from Durham University during which he also read Chinese language and culture at Zhejiang University.
