Adia Njie is an Associate with Teneo’s Strategy and Communications business, based in New York.

At Teneo, Adia is a member of the Governance and Sustainability team and supports the team throughout multiple engagements, including NGO engagement strategy, ESG ratings and rankings, and materiality assessments. In her role, Adia has recently assisted one of the world’s largest privately held companies with the development of an NGO engagement strategy, and helped an interactive media & services company convey their ESG priorities and commitments to investors via governance roadshow. She has also collaborated with members of the Governance and Sustainability team on a thought leadership piece which highlighted trends in shareholder proposals during proxy season.

Prior to her current role, Adia worked within Teneo’s Command Center as a Media Analyst, where she provided detailed traditional media analysis and real time issues monitoring for clients in a variety of industries and business sectors.

Before joining Teneo, she interned at Novita Communications and at United Credit Union. During College, she was a part of the Howard University Elections Commission, a Research Fellow for the Young Africana Leadership Initiative, and a Student Leader at the school’s Freshman Leadership Academy. Adia graduated from Howard University, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic, Legal, and Management Communication.
