Teneo Appoints Richard Williams as a Senior Managing Director to Expand Forensic Capabilities in APAC
Teneo, the global CEO advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Richard Williams as a Senior Managing Director in the firm’s Financial Advisory business, based in Hong Kong SAR. Richard will focus on expanding Teneo’s forensic investigations, discovery and data analytics capabilities across APAC and global markets. He will work with Amanda Rigby and the broader leadership team to deliver technology-driven solutions to clients navigating regulatory, compliance, litigation and crisis-driven matters.
Richard joins us from Deloitte UK (London), where he has worked and lived for the past five years, delivering multifaceted and highly sensitive projects in the UK, Europe and the Middle East for his public and private sectors clients. Previously, Richard spent 13 years in Asia, where he founded the Analytics and Forensic Technology team at Deloitte China and served as the Global Leader of Deloitte Discovery, sitting on the Global Executive Committee for Forensic Services. With more than 35 years of experience in investigation, compliance, digital forensics and technology-led discovery, Richard has built and led teams across Australia, Europe, the U.S. and Asia. He has served as an expert witness in the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia, and has provided sworn affidavits on discovery and forensic technology matters across the U.S., PRC and Hong Kong SAR.
Richard’s work has centred on listening to his clients’ challenges and building workflows that apply bespoke forensic technology and data analytics solutions to assist companies in confronting fraud, corruption, regulatory exposure, large-scale litigation, cross-border disputes and high-risk investigations. His leadership has also focused on the future of corporate data transparency, helping organisations make enhanced business decisions through structured and unstructured data analysis.
