Simon Ruda

Managing Director

Simon Ruda specialises in influence and behavioural change. He works at the intersection of behavioural science, data analytics, strategy and communications.

Over 15 years, Simon has led consulting teams on complex and high-profile issues. His clients have included Cabinet Ministers and senior officials in European, Latin American, and Middle Eastern governments, as well as the United Nations and the World Bank.

Simon was co-founder, Senior Director and Board Member of the Behavioural Insights Team and played a key role in converting the world’s first Government ‘Nudge Unit’ into a market leading behavioural science consultancy. He has lectured across the world on how organisations can solve their challenges with practical behavioural science solutions.

Immediately prior to joining Teneo, Simon provided strategic counsel to the Commissioner and Management Board of London’s Metropolitan Police Service, one of the largest in the world. He built an advanced analytics capability to bring to bear cutting edge data science techniques on operational and reputational challenges.

Simon’s early career focused on strategy: at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office developing strategies for the UK’s reputation overseas; for a brand strategy consultancy working with global brands; and for the UK Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit, working across policy areas.
