Simon Jackson is a Managing Director at Teneo, joining in 2018 after almost two decades’ experience in UK politics. Prior to joining Teneo, he worked for the Labour Party in government and opposition. Working under leaders from Tony Blair to Jeremy Corbyn, Simon became Head of Policy Development and then Director of Policy and Research.
In his most recent role for Labour, he had responsibility for design and implementation of the party’s policy development programme – leading to General Election manifestos in 2015 and 2017 – and ran the research and policy teams as well as managing Political Advisers to the Shadow Cabinet. He has worked on numerous elections and campaigns, advising on policy, politics, strategy and communications issues and has prepared senior politicians and others for high profile political and media appearances, from Prime Minister’s Questions through to televised election debates.
At Teneo, Simon specialises in advising clients with complex political and policy challenges, in highly regulated industries including science and technology. His clients including AstraZeneca, Google, National Grid and Dow who he advises on public affairs strategy, political risk, policy and communications challenges.
