Lucas van Praag is a Senior Managing Director with Teneo’s Strategy and Communications Advisory business. He focuses on advising senior executives on a range of issues, including corporate positioning, corporate strategy, executive coaching, and reputation management.
He joined the firm in 2017 when Fitzroy, the reputation management company he founded in 2012, was acquired by Teneo. Before founding Fitzroy, he spent twelve years at Goldman Sachs, where he was the Global Head of Corporate Communications and a Partner of the firm. In addition to being responsible for internal and external communication, firmwide marketing and matters related to the firm’s reputation, he was a member of the European Management Committee and the Firmwide Business Standards Committee. During his time at Goldman Sachs, he played a critical role in helping the firm navigate through one of the most difficult and testing environments the firm has faced, particularly during the financial crisis and its aftermath.
Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Lucas spent eight years as a Partner at the Brunswick Group. He started his financial career as a banker with Bankers Trust Company in New York.
