Managing Director

Ed Holland is a Managing Director with Teneo’s Risk Advisory business, based in Dubai.

Ed has extensive experience across online and offline security operations in multinational commercial environments. He is an internationally accomplished security and resilience executive specializing in leading and managing complex operational and strategic solutions for clients with specific regional experience across EMEA and JAPAC.

Before joining Teneo, Ed served as Global Programs & Strategy Director for Twitter, overseeing the operational and strategic delivery of security within Twitter globally. Ed led a major change initiative to transform Twitter’s worldwide security framework, restructuring corporate security’s global framework and deliverables, while developing robust integration and quantification between all security functions. Previously, Ed led Twitter’s JAPAC security operations as the Regional Security Director based in Singapore, building a regional team with a 24/7 Operations Centre, employing advanced analytics, crisis & risk management techniques and security expertise to ensure business priorities were met in a safe and sustainable working environment.

Prior to Twitter, Ed worked with Consilium World to execute and develop specialist international risk and security solutions to challenging and complex commercial environments involving threats to government, corporate and individual assets. Earlier in his career, Ed served as a commissioned officer in the Irish Defence Forces and as a Unit Commander in the Irish Special Operations Forces. Ed was awarded a formal NATO Military Distinguished Award in recognition of the leadership, discipline, courage and performance he displayed while on a specific volatile operation.

Ed received his Master of Science in Management from University College Dublin’s Smurfit Business School and his bachelor’s degree in Strategic Leadership from the National University of Ireland.
