Teneo Appoints Brandon Borrman as Head of San Francisco Office
Teneo, the global CEO advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Brandon Borrman as a Senior Managing Director and Head of the San Francisco office within the firm’s U.S. Strategy and Communications business. In this role, Brandon will play a pivotal role in expanding the firm’s presence in the Bay Area and enhancing its ability to meet accelerating client demands.
Brandon brings more than 20 years of experience across both in-house and advisory roles. Most recently, he led communications for Mozilla, where he helped position the company as an influential voice in shaping global AI regulation while reigniting growth for its Firefox browser. Prior to that, he was the first non-engineering hire at Alchemy, playing a pivotal role in scaling the startup into the leading multichain developer platform for Web3.
Brandon spent nearly four years as the senior communications lead for Twitter, where he built a global communications team that supported record user growth and the company’s first years of profitability. He has held senior roles at Ancestry, Quantcast, Starbucks and United Airlines. Earlier in his career, Brandon also helped establish Brunswick Group’s San Francisco office and expand its global technology practice.
“Brandon’s deep communications experience across the tech ecosystem, strong Bay Area network and proven track record of building high-performing teams, makes him uniquely qualified to help our clients succeed in this region. We are thrilled to welcome him as we continue to accelerate our growth in this critical market,” said Andrea Calise, President, U.S. Strategy and Communications. “The ongoing expansion of our San Francisco office reflects the increased demand for Teneo’s integrated offering across the Bay Area and the broader technology ecosystem.”
"We’re in a moment of incredible disorder and change. That can feel threatening, but it’s also when the best work happens," said Brandon Borrman. "Clients don’t just need new messages or a sharper media strategy, they need a new way of approaching the entire job. That’s why I’m joining Teneo: it’s the one firm with both the breadth and the depth to help clients not just navigate this moment, but succeed in it."
