Brandon Borrman

Senior Managing Director

Brandon Borrman is a Senior Managing Director with Teneo’s Strategy and Communications business, based in San Francisco.

For more than 20 years, Brandon has helped companies turn communications into a strategic lever, using it to build unique advantages in competitive and volatile markets. He has built and led numerous in-house global communications teams, helping organizations navigate executive changes, activist investors, M&A, congressional and parliamentary hearings, data breaches and more as both a senior executive and trusted outside advisor.

Most recently, Brandon led communications for Mozilla, where he helped position the company as an influential voice in shaping global AI regulation while reigniting growth for its Firefox browser. Prior to that, he was the first non-engineering hire at Alchemy, playing a pivotal role in scaling the startup into the leading multichain developer platform for Web3.

For nearly four years, Brandon served as the senior communications lead for Twitter, building a global team that helped the company achieve its first years of profitability and record user growth, while also navigating a highly volatile global regulatory and legislative environment. He played a central role in the company’s efforts to navigate the 2020 U.S. election period and its global response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to Twitter, his efforts at Ancestry helped transform the family history company into the global leader in consumer DNA research.

Brandon’s early career included senior roles at United Airlines and Starbucks, as well as stints at Joele Frank and Brunswick Group, where he operated as a partner helping to grow the firm’s San Francisco office and global tech practices.
