Senior Managing Director & Head of Singapore

Chris Lauwerys is Head of Teneo’s Strategy & Communications business in Singapore and has been based in the market since 2019.

Chris has more than 20 years of experience managing corporate reputation programmes for clients across a range of sectors including energy and renewables, technology, media, professional and financial services. Across Asia Pacific, he oversees narrative development, strategic planning and development and reputation campaigning efforts including on a range of ESG themes and priorities for global clients and Asia-headquartered firms. This includes advisory to the leadership of a major insurance business, a multinational material sciences business, a global advisory, broking, and solutions company as well as a major real estate developer.

Chris has overseen sophisticated and multifaced reputation campaigning programmes that deliver high-intensity, international and regional engagement and results over sustained periods of time. He has extensive experience of employee engagement & change management programmes, supporting organisations with company restructuring and organisational realignment. He’s also led in-depth crisis management, planning and preparedness programmes that help future proof client organisations and systematise approaches in responding to key vulnerabilities, supporting executive across an entire organisation to respond in an effective, coordinated and timely manner to major emergencies and crises.

Chris previously led Teneo’s Doha office for five years, overseeing the strong growth and development of the firm’s presence in Qatar.
