Wendy Mitchell

Managing Director

Wendy Mitchell is a Managing Director with Teneo’s Strategy & Communications business, based in London.

Wendy has a decade of experience advising brands on their sustainability and social impact work within globally networked agencies. Wendy has trained senior politicians and C-suite executives across a range of sectors – working on sustainability narrative, messaging, communications strategy and campaign delivery.

She has worked with a wide range of high-profile clients in corporate reputation and sustainability, as well as in conservation, the renewable energy sector, circular economy and food production. She is trained by the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership (CISL) on the Prince of Wales Business and Sustainability program.

In early 2023, Wendy was seconded into the Labour Party to formulate and lead communications campaigns on gender equality, including women’s health, midlife women and workplace equality. During this time, she led the launch of the Party’s new workplace menopause policy and activity around International Women’s Day.

Wendy has a strong background in local politics, having worked in local government before entering consultancy and having been a local councillor. She led public affairs for the host authority for the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games, leading communications around the regeneration of East London and its impact on existing local communities, as well as working with investment partners on securing the 2012 legacy.

Previously, Wendy worked in the NGO and public sectors and was an elected councillor in London. She holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights and completed her undergraduate studies in English at the University of Cambridge.
