Stephen White is a Senior Managing Director with Teneo’s Financial Advisory business in New Zealand, based in Auckland.
Stephen has over 23 years of business and commercial advisory experience in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Teneo as part of the acquisition of PwC’s New Zealand Business Restructuring Services unit, he was a Partner in PwC’s Business Restructuring Services practice. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner.
Stephen works with clients to find solutions that maximise and preserve value for key stakeholders in challenging situations. He regularly advises companies experiencing cash flow or profitability pressures, undergoing change or seeking to execute rapid transactions, with a focus on stabilising and improving financial performance to preserve future viability. His experience includes formal insolvency appointments and providing contingency and insolvency planning advice to stakeholders of distressed businesses.
In addition to his restructuring work, Stephen has worked across a range of transaction offerings, including M&A and financial due diligence. Through these engagements, he has developed significant experience scrutinising business plans and forecasts from company, lender and shareholder perspectives to ensure they are robust and fit for purpose.
