Stephen Landry

Senior Managing Director

Stephen has over 30 years of experience as an investment banker, attorney, and commercial banker to the oil & gas industry, and he has been involved in over $20 billion of public and private financings and advisory assignments.

At Teneo, Stephen leads an energy investment banking effort with an emphasis on providing strategic and financial advice on capital raising, M&A, divestitures, valuation and capital markets transactions.

Prior to Teneo, Stephen most recently was Co-head of Energy Investment Banking at CRT Capital Group / Sterne Agee CRT. Prior to CRT, Stephen was Head of Oil & Gas Investment Banking at Rice, Voelker, LLC, and Head of Investment Banking at Pritchard Capital Partners, LLC. He previously was Chief Financial Officer at W&T Offshore, Inc., where he led the financing efforts for the company’s $1.3 billion acquisition of Kerr McGee’s offshore Gulf of Mexico shelf assets. Prior to that Stephen was Senior Vice President at Jefferies & Company, Inc. During his investment banking career, Stephen has been focused on the exploration & production, oilfield service, alternative fuels and clean energy technology sectors of the energy business. Prior to his investment banking career, Stephen practiced oil & gas and commercial law and he was an oil & gas commercial banker.

Stephen earned a B.S. in Finance from Louisiana State University and a J.D. from Loyola School of Law, where he was a member of the Loyola Law Review. He is a member of the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) and the Houston Producers’ Forum.

Stephen holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 79 licenses. Stephen resides and offices in Covington, Louisiana, where he is actively involved with Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church and Kickin’ Parkinson’s, a member of Team Fox in support of The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
