Scott McFarlane is a senior communication adviser to leaders in the financial services and corporate sectors in Asia.
His experience spans segments including asset management, investment banking, financial technology, logistics, insurance and the legal industries. Scott’s key strength lies in his ability to absorb complex information and translate this into workable and effective communication strategies, allowing corporate leaders to tell their story to their stakeholders. He works with a range of listed and private companies and individuals involved in special situations, often legal matters, to advise on conventional strategic communication as well as developing approaches for digital and social media.
Scott advised senior Australian members of parliament in various roles, including chief-of-staff, and served as the State Director of a major political party. He previously worked as a journalist for Australia’s newswire service, covering business and political issues. He served as a board member of the Australia Asia Young Leaders’ Program.
Scott lived in London for several years, working with Citigroup and the Kuwait Investment Office in various capacities.
