Sarah Jones is an Associate Director with Teneo’s Valuation Services practice in London.

Sarah has over a decade of experience across corporate tax and corporate finance/valuations in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Sarah has experience in managing valuation projects for a wide range of sectors and industries, including retail, infrastructure, manufacturing, healthcare, insurance, as well as private equity backed-businesses. Sarah’s experience includes valuation projects for shares and a wide range of business assets, in the context of restructuring, financial reporting, tax, transaction support and advisory, and other commercial applications.

Prior to joining Teneo, Sarah was a Senior Manager at BDO within their valuation practice. Sarah has Big 4 valuations and corporate finance experience (PwC New Zealand). Sarah is a Chartered Accountant (Australia/New Zealand qualified) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

The type of advice Sarah typically provides includes:

• Business valuations on behalf of lenders, companies, and trustees for financial restructuring purposes.
• Business valuations to support M&A/transactions.
• Financial reporting valuations, including purchase price allocations (PPAs) for business combinations (in accordance with IFRS 3, ASC 805 and FRS 102), share-based payments (in accordance with IFRS 2 and FRS 102) and impairment reviews.
• Valuations with potential tax consequences, including family succession planning (inheritance tax), valuations of shares, share options and other assets issued to employees/management incentive plans, transfers of intellectual property, capital gains disposals and due diligence prior to a company sale.
• Portfolio and other investment fair value or shareholder reporting for venture capital and private equity. Including advisory support on valuation frameworks and governance under IPEV and AIFMD guidelines.
