Neil Daugherty

Senior Managing Director

Neil Daugherty has over two decades of experience advising senior leaders on using reputation to create commercial advantage.

He specialises in strategic communications projects, crisis communications and special situations, worldwide. He has particular experience working with blue chip organisations on campaigns with strong or contentious political dimensions (energy security, runway expansion). Neil has deep experience in both the sports business and TMT sectors, as well as advising clients around the world at all levels of the energy value chain.

Neil was the founding Managing Director of Blue Rubicon Qatar in 2013 before moving back to London in January 2017, having established the agency as the market leader there.

He has extensive sports experience having worked for major sports governing bodies, leading football clubs and sports investors, think tanks and sports charities.

Before joining Teneo, Neil worked for Hill & Knowlton, after graduating from Pembroke College, Cambridge with a MA Cantab in History, and Social and Political Sciences. He is the Senior Independent Director and Board Trustee of the Nike London Youth Games, the biggest pan-London multi-sport youth sports competition.
