Neil Daugherty

Senior Managing Director

Neil has twenty years’ experience of advising senior leaders on using reputation to create commercial advantage.

He specialises in strategic communications projects, crisis communications and special situations, worldwide. He has particular experience of working with blue chip organisations on campaigns with strong or contentious political dimensions (energy security, runway expansion). He has advised clients around the world at all levels of the energy value chain, from upstream exploration, to LNG production and shipping, to downstream lubricants and petrochemicals businesses.

Neil was the founding Managing Director of Blue Rubicon Qatar in 2013 until moving back to London in January 2017, having established the agency as the market leader there.

Neil worked in Qatar from 2007 to 2013, developing global communications strategies for a number of high profile energy, infrastructure and sports clients. He has extensive sports experience having worked for major sports governing bodies, think tanks and sports charities.

Before joining Teneo, Neil worked for Hill & Knowlton, after graduating from Pembroke College, Cambridge with a MA Cantab. in History, and Social and Political Sciences. He continues to advise clients in Qatar and the Gulf, from London, in addition to blue chip clients in Europe and worldwide.
