Naureen Kabir

Managing Director

Naureen Kabir is a Managing Director with Teneo’s Risk Advisory business segment.

Prior to joining Teneo, Naureen was a Senior Policy Advisor at Everytown for Gun Safety, the nation’s largest gun violence prevention organization. In that capacity, she advised and implemented policies and programs related to public safety, gun violence, and armed extremism.

Previously, Naureen spent a decade with the New York City Police Department’s Counterterrorism and Intelligence Bureaus, most recently as the Deputy Director of Counterterrorism Intelligence Analysis. At the NYPD, Naureen directed strategic and operational intelligence analysis and led multiple teams focused on assessing threats to New York City. Previously, she served in the roles of Intelligence Research Manager for the Counterterrorism Bureau’s Terrorism Threat Analysis Group, Senior Intelligence Analyst, and Briefer for the Chief and Deputy Commissioner of Counterterrorism.

Prior to joining the NYPD, Naureen worked at the Council on Foreign Relations, where she was the Assistant Director of the National Program and developed foreign policy and national security forums and convenings across the country.

Naureen holds an M.A. in International Affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Fletcher Forum of World Affairs, and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Bryn Mawr College. She is a former Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a 2021 92Y Women-in Power Fellow, and a 2021 Bard-FPI Fellow.
