Mike Davis is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Debt and Capital Advisory, Middle East, within Teneo’s Financial Advisory business. Based in Dubai, Mike delivers world-class debt and capital structuring advice to clients, supporting them in securing and restructuring financing solutions across banks, private credit, equity and alternative capital providers.
Mike has more than 20 years of management experience across nine countries and five continents. He started his career in banking working for the Bank of Nova Scotia in Canada, Central America and Peru. He then joined HSBC’s International Manager programme and worked in Europe, Asia, Canada and the UAE. Mike has also worked for ADIB and the Arab Banking Corporation.
During his banking career, Mike and his teams advised on more than $20 billion of transactions. Among other roles, Mike ran Structured Finance and Mid-Market Sponsor coverage for HSBC Asia-Pacific, headed Corporate and Commercial Banking for HSBC UAE and served as Group Head of Corporate Banking for the Arab Banking Corporation. For the past two years, Mike has focused on debt advisory roles. He first joined Equitativa, where he helped Emirates REIT refinance its sukuk, before moving to PwC, where he led the Debt and Capital Advisory business for the Middle East.
Mike speaks English, Spanish and French and has an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
