Mark Stokes

Managing Director

Mark Stokes is a Managing Director with Teneo in New York, advising global clients on complex strategic, reputational and leadership challenges. Over more than a decade with the firm, he has worked across New York and London – Teneo’s two largest offices – playing a central role in driving international integration and leading large, multi-market client engagements.

Mark counsels CEOs, boards and executive teams through high-stakes moments including M&A, litigation, crisis situations and leadership transitions. He has advised on communications for mergers and acquisitions collectively valued at over $250 billion, supporting many of Teneo’s largest global clients in navigating complexity and change. His experience spans sectors such as technology, financial services, transportation, consumer goods, professional services, natural resources and automotive. Mark’s work has also been deeply international, with assignments across North America, Europe and Asia, including projects in Japan, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Ireland and Canada.

Before joining Teneo, Mark held political and policy-focused roles in Ireland, including serving as Youth Policy Director of Fianna Fáil, where he oversaw policy development and national campaigns. He also served as a Governor of University College Dublin, gaining early experience in governance and stakeholder engagement.

A graduate of University College Dublin with a BA in Economics and Politics, Mark serves on the Young Leaders Committee of The Ireland Funds, a global philanthropic network that cultivates the next generation of professionals committed to Ireland-linked community, culture and educational initiatives. He holds an Irish passport and a U.S. green card.
