Lawrence Carnevale

General Counsel

Lawrence Carnevale is the General Counsel of Teneo.

As General Counsel of the company since 2015, Lawrence reports directly to executive management and is responsible for overseeing and coordinating global legal matters, including management of the Legal Department staff.  In addition to responsibility for routine legal compliance, contracting , execution of legal mandates and management of legal risks, Lawrence has been tasked with bolstering and supporting company governance mechanisms through development and regular curation of a wide spectrum of salient corporate policies including diversity and equality, anti-corruption, business ethics, ESG and data privacy and security.

Prior to joining Teneo, he was a Partner and Head of the Litigation Practice for Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP where he also served as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee for many years.

Lawrence’s practice at Carter Ledyard was focused on general commercial, trade secret, restrictive covenant and employment litigation and arbitration. Over his long history with Carter, Ledyard, Lawrence has served through verdict or award as lead trial counsel on many complex commercial disputes and has made numerous appearances in appellate courts throughout the country. He has represented clients involved in such businesses as wealth management, investment banking, public relations, manufacturing, strategic consulting, brokerage, real estate management, and other professional services. Lawrence has frequently authored articles and spoken on a variety of legal issues, particularly concerning the financial services industry.

Lawrence is a graduate of Dickinson College (cum laude) and Temple University Beasley School of Law (cum laude).
