Managing Director

Lauren Ramey is a Managing Director based in Calgary and has over ten years’ experience providing strategic communications counsel to senior officials in both the public and private sector across several markets.

Lauren has advised clients across a range of industries and complex matters including CEO transitions, M&A transactions,  crisis management, ESG strategy, financial communications, media training and narrative development.

Prior to joining Teneo Canada, Lauren was Vice President in Teneo’s Middle East offices based in Dubai. In this role, Lauren provided strategic communications advice to clients across the Middle East region for various industries, including government, oil and gas, finance, and technology.

While living in Dubai, Lauren spent two years as an Account Director at the global public affairs firm, Grayling. In this role, she developed and implemented corporate communications and media relations strategies across a broad range of corporate clients.

Lauren began her career with the Ontario provincial government as a communications advisor to Cabinet Ministers and two Premiers. For over five years, she provided counsel to a range of high-ranking elected officials, including as Director of Communications Planning for the Premier, Communications Advisor to the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care and Press Secretary for the Minister of Education. In these roles, she provided strategic advice in areas such as issues management, crisis communications, media relations, and communications planning. During this time, she also served as a communications advisor for two provincial general elections in 2011 and 2014 where she provided media relations support for the central leadership campaigns.

Lauren holds a master’s degree in Corporate Communications from IE University in Madrid and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from McGill University in Montréal.
