Khalil Malik

Associate Director

Khalil Malik is an Associate Director within the Yorkshire and North East team, having joined Teneo as part of its purchase of Deloitte’s UK Restructuring business.

Khalil joined the Deloitte Restructuring Team in May 2019 and has experience in both advisory and insolvency assignments across a wide range of sectors, including a number of CID facilities.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Khalil qualified at a Big 4 firm working in audit and risk assurance. This was followed by working as a Group Financial Accountant at a listed company with c.£325m turnover for 18 months.

Insolvency:
- M&Co Trading Limited: Contingency planning and trading administration of a Scottish based retailer operating from c.170 stores located throughout the UK.
- Midas Group Limited: Wind down of one of the UK’s largest independent construction and property.
- Arcadia: Supported a large and complex store closure programme, closing over 400 trading outlets over a short period of time.
Advisory:
- Project Oscar: Lender side advisor to a c.£180.0m turnover food manufacturing business with multiple operations across the UK, and £35.0m debt facilities (including £20.0m CID).
- Project Tablet: Company side advisor to a c.£300.0m turnover UK based pharmaceuticals distributor.
- Project Agatha: Lender side advisor to a leading provider of nursing and care staff, with c.£50.0m debt facilities.
- Project Owl: Lender side advisor to a c.£15.0m turnover recruitment agency specialising in the oil and gas industry with £5.0m CID facility.
