Keeley Hanlon is a Managing Director with Teneo’s Strategy & Communications business, supporting the firm’s government and public affairs offering in Washington, D.C.
Keeley brings nearly two decades of experience in Washington that spans Capitol Hill, political campaigns and the private sector and has advised some of the world’s most well-known organizations and scrutinized industries on political risk, policymaker engagement and issue advocacy.
Before joining Teneo, Keeley held senior roles at FTI Consulting and Purple Strategies, leading public affairs and reputation campaigns for Fortune 500 clients across highly regulated sectors. She has supported clients through high-profile labor negotiations, product recalls, environmental rulemaking and politically driven boycotts while defending license to operate and preserving billions in enterprise value.
Earlier in her career, she served as the National Political Director at Allegiance Strategies, directing multi-million-dollar super PAC efforts across dozens of U.S. House and Senate races and developing issue campaigns on the economic stakes of legislating social issues. She also held political and government affairs roles at prominent trade associations, including the National Federation of Independent Business.
Beyond her client work, Keeley has served on nonprofit boards and provided pro-bono counsel to international humanitarian organizations on U.S. policy engagement.
Keeley graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Political Science and earned a postgraduate degree in Global Diplomacy from SOAS, University of London.
