Keeley Hanlon is a Managing Director with Teneo’s Strategy & Communications business, based in Washington, D.C.
Keeley counsels senior leaders navigating reputational, regulatory and operational risk, bringing particular expertise in multi-stakeholder campaigns, labor and workforce challenges and crisis communications. She has advised some of the world’s most recognized brands on complex issues where regulatory pressure, stakeholder expectations and business performance intersect, helping defend their license to operate and preserve billions in enterprise value.
Before Teneo, Keeley was a Managing Director in the public affairs practice at FTI Consulting. She joined FTI after more than six years at Purple Strategies, where she led integrated reputation and issues management campaigns for Fortune 500 clients across consumer goods, manufacturing, healthcare, transportation and logistics, addressing challenges ranging from high-profile labor negotiations to nationwide product recalls to environmental litigation.
Over the course of her career, Keeley has built deep expertise at the intersection of politics, policy and business. She served as National Political Director at Allegiance Strategies, overseeing multi-million dollar super PAC investments across dozens of U.S. House and Senate races, developing business-led legislative advocacy coalitions and leading campaigns that engaged Republican candidates and legislators on the business and economic stakes of sociopolitical challenges. She also held government affairs roles at organizations including the National Federation of Independent Business.
Beyond her client work, Keeley has served on nonprofit boards and provided pro-bono public affairs counsel to international humanitarian organizations seeking to engage U.S. policymakers.
Keeley graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Political Science and earned a postgraduate degree in Global Diplomacy from SOAS, University of London.
