Katherine Kim

Senior Managing Director

Katherine Kim is a Senior Managing Director with Teneo, based in New York City.

Prior to joining Teneo, Katherine was a Director with Brunswick Group, a strategic communications firm. At Brunswick, Katherine advised clients on a wide range of critical communications issues with a focus on M&A, activism and investor engagement. During her time at Brunswick, she handled media relations, corporate reputation and issues management for numerous high-profile situations. Her expertise spans across a broad range of sectors, including consumer, technology, media, healthcare, energy, industrials and financial services. A selection of former clients include AB InBev, Avon, Merck KGaA, Western Digital, Syngenta, Santander and United Airlines, among many others.Prior to Brunswick, Ms. Kim spent five years in Sydney where she was the Thematic Analyst for Australian Equities at CLSA and a Vice President in Morgan Stanley’s investment banking division.

Katherine began her career at JPMorgan’s investment banking division in New York where she covered diversified industrial and transportation clients. During her 10-year tenure as an investment banker, Katherine executed a wide range of M&A transactions along with IPOs, debt and equity capital raisings, recapitalizations, distressed situations, cross-border transactions and leveraged buyouts. She has also published in-depth thematic research reports on a wide range of topics including e-commerce, corporate governance and labor issues.

Katherine graduated from Dartmouth College with honors in Government, focusing on International Relations.
