Kara primarily focuses on the development and ongoing support of client’s investor relations and financial communications programs.

Her client base provides her with highly-specialized expertise in the industrials and chemicals sectors. Ms. Shepard has also created comprehensive activism preparedness programs and has worked on live activist situations requiring rapid response techniques and strategies.

Prior to joining Teneo, Ms. Shepard was an analyst on the NYU Investment Team responsible for managing the University’s endowment. In this role, she primarily conducted financial and operational analyses on investment managers across a variety of investment strategies including: public equity, long/short equity, private equity, real assets, and fixed income strategies. Prior to NYU, she was an associate at Cambridge Associates, a global investment advisory firm providing strategic investment and asset allocation advisory services to endowments, foundations, private wealth, and corporate and government entities.

Ms. Shepard graduated from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College with a B.S. degree in finance and accounting and a minor in international studies.
