John Greenway

Senior Vice President

John Greenway has a wide range of communications experience including crisis and issues management, corporate communications, media relations, campaigns, political affairs, public relations, social media and photography.

He joined Teneo from Ogilvy, where he lead the international communications component for Expo 2020 Dubai from the agency side, including the activation of markets in the US, UK, China, KSA, Egypt, India, Russia, France and Germany.

Before Ogilvy, John was a member of the Brunswick team in Abu Dhabi working across a range of sectors including cyber security, government, AI, culture, tourism, investment and energy. His previous experience in the UAE came at the Etihad Aviation Group (EAG) where he was a member of the Corporate Affairs team working across communication and crisis activity globally. That remit included working with the five business divisions of Etihad Airways, Etihad Airways Engineering, Etihad Airport Services, Hala Group and the Equity Partners, which included airlines such as Virgin Australia and Jet Airways of India.

Before heading to the UAE, he held various communications roles at the Manchester Airports Group (MAG) with his last position being Head of External Communications. He was part of the communications team during the bids for London Gatwick and London Stansted. The company operates airports and a property divison at sites in the UK including London Stansted, East Midlands and Manchester and is progressing the Airport City project with BCEG Construction of Beijing, the centrepiece of Greater Manchester’s Enterprise Zone.

His previous communications roles were all in the UK and included the North West Regional Development Agency, Keep Britain Tidy and The Pensions Regulator.
